Well, hello there. Sorry, I have been “out of the office” for three months. I switched my blog from Squarespace to WordPress, and, in the process, got out of the habit of writing. I’ve also been analyzing and overthinking mom-blogging in general. I love it, and I love sharing my family’s adventures and building an online community. Truthfully, though, as I see more and more moms who blog, I wonder if there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. How do you stay real and honest, but not air out dirty laundry? How do you share your children’s milestones and not exploit them for online engagement? How do you take pictures of and write about a moment, but still live in it?
Clearly, I haven’t figured out the answers to any of these questions, so without further ado, here’s another post with a billion pictures of my kid. LOL. Ok, but really. We had loads of fun at the Corn Maze in The Plains, VA, and we want to tell you all about it. Also, what a joy it is to have this space (justinamurzyn.com) to scrapbook memories with Florence, right? Right.
The Corn Maze
Our friends came to visit from NYC with a simple request: let’s do all things fall. Though I was worried that we were too old and our kids were too young for a corn maze, we ended up having a great time and definitely entered into the spirit of fall. Before we even embarked on the maze (which by the way was HUGE. It took us about 45 minutes to complete!), we were able to sling shot pumpkins, try apple butter, and even go on a hay ride.
Then finally embark on the maze!
Oh, and here’s a pic of the photographer. Because, you know, #picsoritneverhappened
Time for souvenirs, aka pumpkins! We brought tons of them home.
It’s safe to say, we have a favorite pumpkin of all. #cheesyalert
Fall is flying on by, and I still have a mini-bucket list to complete before the season ends. I fully intend to post pictures of said bucket list which will include both carving pumpkins and shamelessly dressing my child in a costume. Stay tuned!
